Armenian Language for All!

The Diocese of the Armenian Church inRomania, the Armenian Church Youth Organization of Romania and the Union of Armenians of Romania organized from December 16 to December 23 theArmenianYouthWinterSchoolunder the motto “Armenian Language for All!”

After the success the Suceava Summer Camp had this summer, about 40 youths moved for seven days to Sinaia, at the Noah’sArkhotel where they enjoyed a rich educational and recreational program. We must thank the Hovakimyan family, the owners of the hotel, who made sure the participants were accommodated in the best conditions. Every day there were two Armenian language classes under the guidance of His Grace Bishop Datev Hagopian and Father Bogdan Ezras. Classes were held both in the morning and in the afternoon and they were followed by movie evenings, dance classes and other educational and recreational activities. His Grace Bishop Datev Hagopian held also a course about the history of the Armenian Language. The youths also participated at a presentation about the history of the Armenian communities in theMiddle Eastheld by Mr. Zare Nazarian vice-president of the UAR and the president of the UAR, Mr. Varujan Vosganian held a presentation about the Armenian language. Since the camp was in Sinaia the youths couldn’t miss the opportunity to visit the Peleş Castel.

As a conclusion we can say that this action has achieved its purpose: to inspire young Armenians to love the Armenian language and to participate at the courses of the Armenian school.

We have to mention that the budget for this camp was provided partially by the Diocese of the Armenian Church inRomaniaand the Union of Armenians of Romania.
